Hi all! I'm Sahar, a senior UX researcher, UX strategist, and service designer based in the DC metropolitan area (aka the DMV for those in the know). With a master's degree in UX from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore and a background in Studio Art and Design from the University of Maryland, I bring a unique blend of creativity and analytical thinking to my work. I value the power of storytelling in research, highlighting the many ways research can inform product and/or business strategy. I specialize in qualitative-leaning mixed methods research, including user interviews, information architecture (card sorting and tree testing), contextual inquiry, surveys, and more! Currently, I provide mentorship through ADPList, Ideate Labs, and MICA.

When I'm not immersed in research, you'll find me flexing my creativity through painting, illustration, weaving, linocut, etc. I love slipping Community quotes into everyday conversations. I have a soft spot for karaoke, cuddling with my tiny pup, video games, sci-fi/fantasy books, and savoring delicious food. Prior to relocating back to the DC area, I resided in Brooklyn, where I offered guided food tours of my neighborhood.
